"Europe as a guest in Bösel"

- this is the motto of the EURO Musiktage (European days of music). For more than 50 years the title also describes the program and the content of the EURO Musiktage in the friendly municipality of Bösel with its 8,000 inhabitants. The people there are known for their hospitability for several decades, which thousands of musicians already enjoyed.

Experiencing international understanding live and close – Bösel makes it possible. The EURO municipality in the Oldenburger Münsterland area offers exciting and cheerful encounters for people from several countries of the continent and beyond – whether on the streets, on the squares, in the halls or on the festival ground.

We are proud to be a tiny mosaic piece of the European idea.

The program

The programme presents itself – according to the theme Europe – colourful and multifarious.

EURO-Friday is characterized by anticipation. After the official opening of the EURO Musiktage with free beer we start our EURO Warm-Up. Let’s celebrate together with a live-band. The Festival of Little Europeans and the Wine Festival start on “EURO Saturday”. In the afternoon the first musical delicacy takes places: the first part of the international musical competition. Show and majorette groups enchants the audience with their presentations. Another musical highlight follows in the evening: the Concert of Nations. Musicians of all participating nations put on a unique concert and entertain the audience with music and show. Afterwards several DJ-Teams rock the dancefloor and create a terrific atmosphere at the big “EURO-Night”. The typical “Euro-feeling” arises when thousands of people from all over Europe meet on the festival ground and celebrate all together. In Bösel the parties with their special atmosphere are an important part of the international understanding among nations!

On Sunday morning the music groups measure their abilities at the second part of the international competition. Afterwards it becomes colourful and loud in the city centre once again, when the international parade winds through Bösel. Several thousand visitors line the streets and cheer the musicians. As the crowning end to the festival, musicians, guests and visitors meet at the center stage in the park for the winning ceremony. Suspense can be felt in every corner and sends shivers down your spine as all groups want to take home the “Böseler EURO-Cup” including a prize money of € 3,000.

More highlights

In addition to this, a wine festival with selected grapes from all over Europe or Children’s-EURO for the little Europeans are part of the programme. Children young and old can play and swing to their hearts’ content in the park and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere.

Of course, the good and jolly mood is not forgotten. On EURO-Friday the EURO Musiktage will be opened with free beer and afterwards we will celebrate with a live-band.
